$GOLD

$GOLD is the in-game currency for the world of The Hoard, backed by $HONEY. As players buy lives, a majority of each $HONEY spent will be used to accumulate gold in The Hoard. Players will be able to earn $GOLD only by playing the game. The amount of gold earned per play-through will be directly correlated to the amount of total $GOLD in The Hoard at the time of the play-through, meaning the bigger The Hoard, the greater the reward ;). Once Wimble has enough time to set up shop, he will accept $GOLD in exchange for in-game items: weapons, armor, potions, etc. which will have cosmetic value only to begin with, but may eventually gain real gameplay value as well. $GOLD will also be redeemable for $HONEY. 1000 $GOLD = 1 $HONEY
